What this site does

Calculations run in the browser. For duration work, the shared engine reduces values to integer seconds before it formats an answer. That approach keeps carries such as 60 seconds to one minute explicit and avoids treating clock minutes as decimal fractions of an hour.
Who runs it
The site is run by an independent maker using a documented editorial process. TimeCalculator.dev uses a brand voice instead of publishing invented staff biographies or credentials. “Reviewed by the TimeCalculator.dev team” identifies the release process: a tool and its explanation are drafted, checked against the public methodology, exercised against the shared test suite, and reviewed again when a correction is reported.

Why it exists
Time questions are usually simple, but familiar notation creates easy mistakes: 7:45 is not 7.45 hours, a clock interval may cross midnight, and a date count may need to exclude weekends. Many people only need a transparent answer, not an account, route database, scheduling platform, or policy decision.
The goal is therefore narrow: make common time arithmetic quick to enter, easy to audit, and honest about its boundaries. Results show their units and relevant formula steps. Where an answer depends on employer rules, local law, time zones, daylight saving changes, holidays, or another outside fact, the page asks the user to supply or verify that fact instead of pretending the calculator knows it.
